I am running for City Council to represent Greenville’s District 1. We are at a tipping point with increasing development and traffic but decreasing affordable housing and diversity. Strong leadership on City Council will ensure that our voices are heard and that our neighborhoods, parks, and community centers are protected, while ensuring public transportation and affordable housing options for all income levels. Greenville is my home, and I want to ensure that it will remain a place where our children can afford to live and be proud to call home. I believe in a Greenville for All.
Some of the changes Greenville has experienced have been positive. But rising housing costs, traffic and parking issues, and greater burdens on our environment and public safety personnel must be addressed. I will stay informed, listen to you, act independently for the greater good, and strive to protect Greenville’s many successes and opportunities.
I need your help in talking to your neighbors, displaying yard signs, making phone calls, making a donation, and encouraging your neighbors to vote. If you are willing to work with me to secure a Greenville for All, please sign up below. But most importantly, I am asking you to Vote for Matt Johnson on November 5, 2019.

Op-Ed: District 1 candidate Matt Johnson in his own words
Greenville is at a tipping point. Development and traffic are increasing while affordable housing options and diversity decrease. Our neighborhoods, local parks and community centers need an independent voice they can trust on City Council.
